And we also have an Allen key and 2 bolts for installation.

Specs and Build Quailty

Taking a look at the specs and build quality, the CM2 Dashboard has a solid, premium build with an aluminium alloy case, giving it a sturdy and durable feel. The slim form factor features a 5-inch touchscreen with a display resolution of 1280 x 720 and a 60hz refresh rate.  Above the screen we have 10 RGB LEDS for the rev lights and at either side 3 LEDs for racing flags.  At the bottom we find the RJ port for direct connection to a Moza wheel base, and at the side is a USB C port for direct connection to a PC. At the back we have the metal bracket that comes pre-installed and this is attached with 2 thumb screws

Installation

Now for the installation the bracket attaches to the mounting points found on the top of a Moza wheel base. And this is simply bolted onto the base with the 2 included bolts.

Adjustability

For adjustability the height of the display is can be moved up or down with 4 height settings, which gives approximately 23mm of adjustment. To adjust the height we just remove the 2 thumb screws at the back and reposition it in one of the 4 height settings. Then reinstall the thumb screws.

Connection

So for the connection you only need a single cable for the display, either the RJ cable that plugs into the dash and into the back of a Moza wheel base, or if you do want to use the screen independently with other wheel bases or as a stand-alone device its connected with the USB- C cable that plugs direct to PC.

The display is plug and play, so once it’s plugged in the screen automatically powers on and its ready to use. On the touch screen we can swipe to change through the different dash displays and select a presets dash to start racing.

Software

Now what’s good about this display is within the Pit house software we can setup and customize the screen layout and LEDS. All of the basic setting are customizable like adjusting colors of the RPM and flags, adjusting the brightness, and we can change through the displays manually select different preset layouts.

With the dash board layouts we can further customize and modify the preset ones or create our own in the editor. The layouts are completely adjustable and there’s heaps of data options to select from and use in a custom dash layout, which means you can setup and configure the dash exactly how you like it.

Final Thoughts

Having a separate screen is good to see gears, speed, rev lights or flags and the CM2 dash works well at displaying all the information clearly. Being a plug and play device, it’s quick and easy to setup.

It has the versatility to work with a Moza Wheel bases via the dash port or independently via USB on PC, so you could even use it with other branded wheel bases with a custom bracket.

The included bracket allows the screen to be position higher or lower and it works well with round steering wheels or open top steering wheels.

Whether you need a dash display packed with information with speed, gear, lap timings, rev lights and flags or something simplified like a single gear indicator the MOZA CM2 dash is fully customizable and a versatile device.
